Garbage pickup- Thursday and Friday

(You may put one large item of junk out at a pickup; e.g. mattress, chair, etc. in addition to your garbage cans.) Rumpke provided these guidelines for placing your garbage can at the curb:

• Dispose of your garbage in the containers provided by Rumpke
• Make sure the lid is closed.
• Place the container as close to the edge of the pavement as possible but not on the pavement.
• Position the container at least three (3) feet from mailboxes, parked cars, trees, and other containers.
• Have the handle facing your residence and the metal bar on the opposite side of the can from the handle facing the street.

These holidays cause a one day delay in the pickup schedule:

New Year's Day

Memorial Day

If one of the above holidays falls on or before your pickup day, your garbage will be picked up the following day. Any other holiday will not change your pickup day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday your pick up days will not be changed that week.

Example:
Memorial day falls on Monday. Your pickup day will be one day behind that week.
