We have been experiencing some breakins and other thievery activities in Plainview. To help eliminate these types of activities, we held an organizational meeting Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Tway House for the purpose of establishing block watches. The Jeffersontown Chief of Police will facilitate our work.

• Don't leave valuables in view in your car.
• Lock your doors when you are outside or away from your house.
• Keep your valuables out of sight in your home.
